Bio

Sudhakar R. Satti, MD, earned his medical degree, completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at MCP-Hahnemann in Philadelphia, PA. He went on to complete dual fellowships in Diagnostic Neuroradiology and a combined Interventional Neuroradiology/Endovascular Neurosurgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

 

After serving as the Director of Interventional Neuroradiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia for two years, Dr. Satti began his practice in Delaware 2010. He has served as the Associate Director of Neurointerventional Surgery from 2010 to present. Dr. Satti has been instrumental in expanding the Department of NIS and helping CCHS become a JACHO accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center.

 

Dr. Satti is compassionate physician focusing on patient care and experience.   He is a pioneer and national leader in radial access for neuroendovascular procedures, which allows for a less pain, lower complications, and shorter recovery times than traditional femoral access.

 

Dr. Satti’s clinical expertise include minimally invasive procedures/surgery of the head, neck and spine.

  • Pediatric Neuroendovascular Procedures (Brain aneurysms, AVM brain/spine)
  • Endovascular Surgery of Brain Aneurysms (Coiling, Flow Diversion, Stenting)
  • Embolization of Brain, Facial and Spine Arteriovenous Malformations (AVM) and Dural Arteriovenous Fistulas and Steriotactic Radiosurgery of AVMs
  • Dural Sinus Stenting (pseudotumor cerebri/IIH)
  • Pain Management: Interventional pain/spine Injections, Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty, Radiofrequency Ablation procedures
  • Management of Traumatic Injuries Head/Neck (Dissections/Pseudoaneurysms/Bleeding)
  • Inferior Petrosal Venous Sinus Sampling
  • Epistaxis (nose bleeding) embolization

Dr. Satti is very active in the improving and expanding the field of Neurointerventional Radiology/Endovascular Neurosurgery through research and continuing education. He has served as a Primary Investigator on more than 10 clinical trials, authored over 20 peer reviewed articles, and is an active journal reviewer (J. Neurointerventional Surgery, Am. J. Neuroradiology, Interventional Neuroradiology).

  • (2007- Present): Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Neuroradiology
  • (2011- Present): CAQ (Certificate Additional Qualification) in Neuroradiology by the American Board of Neuroradiology
  • (2018-Present): CAST (Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training) in Neuroendovascular Surgery by the Society of Neurologic Surgeons.
